First of no croc monitors:grinno: Small ones will stress out a allot and even medium ones have claws similar to prey birds claws, they can be really unpredictable and are capable of doing quite some damage. Remenbar you are responsable by any damage they do so no dangerous animals. Insted think savanahs, red tegus, blue tegus and black and white tegus. Also no sailfin dragons, to stress prone. Bearded dragons, tame female green iguanas(and tame males outside breeding), blue tongue skinks, monkey tail skinks, plated lizards, etc. Also no condas, carpet pythons and burms are just as impressive and much safer. Be carefull with water monitors even tame they are so big and strong that they can still do quite a damage. Sulcatas, red foots, leopards and margineteds are good tortoises. I think turtles aint gona be good because most species stress alot when out of their normal enclosure and most can give quite a bite, even tame ones have their mood changes. I think that would be already quite a show I would pay to see it. More good reptiles: corn snakes, Cyclura iguanas, boas, aussi water dragons, tame uromastix, king snakes, etc:D

There is a place that operates in the northeast, "rainforest reptile show" or something like that. Its pretty much a reptile rescue/zoo operation that does it on the side. They used to set up in petco's on the weekends, pet shows, and did bday parties.

I think its a good idea, might be hard to get it going though. And def work with rescued animals, that way you have a story about each animal. Not encouraging throw away pet store animals.

ya, and some parents may not be keen on the idea of an anaconda lmao

they had one of these shows at my school when i was really little, dont remember a whole lot but i do remember that they always had a large constrictor and on one occasion they brough a lion cub, it was on a leash but thet let the kids throw a ball to it:)

If you were thinking about doing more then reptiles then you should get a larger parrot.

I'm a So-cal native and there is a place U might want to call and pic their brains. "Prehistoric Pets", in Fountain Valley. They have shows just like the 1's your talking about doing. If you live near there U might want to swing in and take a look. A lot of Herps. Just a thought.

I do shows like this all the time at the nature center. Unfortunately, its a NATURE center, not reptile center, so everything is native to Fairfax county that we show. Every once in a while well bring out the pine snake, leopard gecko, or rose hair tarantula to spice it up, but we make sure the kids learn that its not native. These shows are great, kids of all ages love them, and you can make a little money to pay the bills if you play your cards right. Words cant explain how gratifying it is to have parents of special needs kids tell you how great your presentation was, its just incredible to watch their faces light up...

if you get a sloth get a three toe and not a two toe as three toe sloths are a lot more docile, also there is no permit needed to keep sloths were i live.
