The more that die, the more YOU have to replace (at your own expense). There are lemon laws against selling junk cars. If we all lived in a perfect lala land where you could house black aros and black rays and rare cichlids, that would be awesome! You should check into things such as rent, location, traffic, are you going to be a sole proprietor, inc., llc?, taxes, taxcuts, government grants/loans..... There are too many things to think about from a business standpoint first before you think about what your deciding on what types of cichlids you want. As much as I hate to say this, if you tell the customer what he/she can house or not house in their aquarium, you will lose a huge customer base and your business will never take off. The customer is always right! Without a customer, your bankrupt. At best, until you are on your feet, I would suggest doing it out of your home on a small budget included in your income and expect no gains, just break even. Once you see your past and can forecast your future, then make arrangements to take a step. A pet store is a business and therefore must be looked at as one, not what you want to see. You are less than 1% of fishkeepers out there, and your store has to fullfill customers needs.
