fish r like people we all act different glad all is doing well but one day u will need to seperate the butti cause he will what i call snap lol. from my personal experince mine grew up in a 300 gallon tank with lots of tank mates now he is alone in a 75 gallon at 14" after killing half the fish with him im hoping to make a much larger tank one day and put him in a "community" again. as soon as im able i will post pics of mine and good luck with your fish

Bad Idea..I did the same thing a couple years ago except it was in a 55, 1 jaguar cichlid and 1 butti. then the butti killed the jag then I bought a 200 gallon still the butti is dominate.
really bad idea....unless your gonna buy a huge tank pick either the jag or the butti...otherwise your gonna end up with red water!
They are jerks. Get one and he is going to dominate and kill everything in your tank. I have a love/hate relationship with mine
Mine is the smallest in the tank, but he is growing very fast and has no fear of the others in the tank. Both my JD and GT are already backing down to him despite the butti is about half their size. I think he might be a problem for me down the road. Hopefully yours works out.
Is it true that Buttikoferi can beat up Red Devils? I heard that they are even capable of beating up Jaguars too.
butti is really bad..its even chase it own kind..i had 2 butti (2inch) in 120G tank with 1 florida gar, 1 asian arowana, 1 albino sen birchir, 1 delhezi birchir..it chase the other fish even the size of the other are bigger than him..it will eat wateva kind of food you put in..
