I am watching BMX guys on bikes, and I have a question:

Why do they pedal backwards when they land backwards? I thought the wheel was free, and you can pedal backwards, and nothing happens....
to keep balance and to keep them moving backwards better, its hard to explain but doing it in practice, you would understand if you were a BMXer

:iagree: it does take a while but practice makes perfect

I just sold a GaryFisher TriggerFish raw that was about 8 years old but still in excellent condition with a 9 year old beat up gary fisher freestyle and two full face helmets for $100. I shoulda asked more. :(

Sweet, 2 more days! I am sooo excited =)

ITS HERE ITS HERE!!!!

Hehe, I feel like a little kid again! I am sore all over, with blisters alllll over my hands!

Its pretty tiny...I was worried it wasn't a real BMX bike, but I compared it to the other BMX bikes on campus, and they are all the same size.

I have been working on:

Bunny Hops
Manuals
Wheelies
Fork Glide

So far, I can Bunny Hop up a curb, and ALMOST get completely around for a fork glide! Hard hard work =) Great workout though!

Guys....its called riding fakie. Unless you have a freecoaster hub...the hub engages if the wheel goes backwards. Mind you freecoasters are pricey, and most will look down upon them unless you are doing something good out of fakie.

Watch this video...he has a freecoaster hub.

ohhh, ok =)

I really wanna learn how to do a 360 bunny hop, looks so cool =)

Is it hard? I figured I can practice in the grass...

Try spins off ramps first...and obviously 180's will come first. Look up skateparks in your area...at least find some banks. Flat 3's will come in time...but you have to know the motion of rotating your whole body and looking over your shoulder. It took me a long time to get them...but they are a good flow trick.
