Buying dithers TODAY, can TINFOIL BARBS handle 87-88 temps?!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
those tin foils are going to be gone within a few days. bump to silver dollars or a couple parrots i hear work well too

2-3" barbs wont stand a chance against 5-6" cichla..heck not even 4" cichla. Get silver dollars as stated before. It may cost you some cash. Wes @ rare fish has some 4.5" silver $'s for sale. They cost more than your average dither but they wont cost more than you'd spend on 2-3" barbs if you plant to keep a school around...ahahah!

A bigger tank would also help spread aggression.....dithers wont be cheap either way cause your standard small ones wont work now.

Silver dollars all the way, i have 6 with my cichla and they work a treat

When I kept peacock bass, they were much more aggressive at high temps. Any reason you keep the temp so high? They may calm a bit if you drop the temp to 78-80.

to cold... reason they weren't aggressive at this temp is because they aren't as active in colder temps. 82F+ for active healthy fish, more growth etc

Ok. Never had a problem with growth or activity on any that i kept. No health issues either. I guess some collection locations can be used to higher temps than others.
