$2.25 a mouse is highway robbery. I would not give them busienss either. If there a herp club around see if someone can split shipping with you.
alright. i knew it was ridiculous pricing, i can buy them live and breed them for cheaper

the best 2 places to buy is rodentpro.com and micedirect.com depending on who has what on sale.

i just checked rodentpro and they really do nail you with shipping costs! yikes!
:mr-t:

Shipping is expensive, yes...but you're saving money, in the long run, because they offer product cheap.

I wish my snakes were still feeding on mice...I have to buy 5lb - 10lb rabbits/pigs!

As others have said...check your local pet stores. Frozen are always cheaper than live, at pet stores. And, just because the store is a "fish" store, doesn't mean they wont have other things. I just picked up my Beardie and Uro at a fish store, that really didn't advertise they sold reptiles.

i know, most of the lfs i go to carry frozen mice but they are way overpriced

It's really a no-win when you only have one herp, especially when it's a weekly feeding snake. LPS gouge you, and shipping isn't worth it unless you buy bulk, and they don't last forever.

please explain a little better? they dont last forever? what the mice or the snake? freezing will keep them good for a nice long time, so that doesnt worry me

The mice, once you open the vacuum pack or if they're just bagged rather than vacuum packed they will get freezer burned and start losing nutrients. I think there are places that ship them v-packed individually but I never checked into it because I used a pack of 6 or 12 very quickly.

i ordered from rodent pro a few weeks ago.

200 pinkies
100 peach fuzzies

78 shipped to my door.

i will be going back through them again. unless i find someone local.
