Buying Marineland Double Bright LED Lighting System

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm right on the edge about to buy one of these. I know someone that has them, I just need to stop by and see them in person before I jump. From the pic's and vid's I've seen I like 'em.

i got the double bright 36-48 inch and i am not all that impressed with it for the price

What dont you like about them? What size tank you have it on? Are you running 1 or 2 fixtures? I been wanting to get these lights myself and still thinking about it.

Definitely cover the top with something. I just lost my nicest looking synspilum because he jumped out.

If you have a deep tank do not bother!! I have been running mine a month....Not much more than a night light on my tank! The ecoxotic modules from Fosters or marinedepot are way brighter!!

Marineland LEDs look amazing, and the blue lunarlight feature is really nice for mimicking soft moonlight for viewing your tank at night.

Ive got some cheapo marineland lights in the hood of my 55 gallon, theyre amazing I will definitely be buying some single brights which are even better.

How deep is your tank? What size light? Is it the double bright or single/

I have a 30" deep tank and use a double bright. It is not nearly as bright as a single tube 48" tube. It is only 36" long. The light quality is good but not bright at all. The ecoxotic fixtures i speak of are 95. each and two would easily light a 55. You could grow plants if you wanted!
