Last week one of the MFK member pointed it out that there was a 125gl. tank for great buy on Craigslist $100.So i call the guy and drove 75 miles to get this tank.Everything looked great he was cool we tanked for about 30mnts and i took-off.Next day i stared to set the my new tank everything looked sweet i was going to let tank do its thing for 5 days or so,my plan was to put my new 7-stripe Frontosa's in this tank......But next morning i came to my Cichlid-room and guess what guys??!!!!! my tank was empty!!!!! EMPTY! I was so mad if this guy was 10mts from my house i would of !@#$%^^&* you know what. This morning i resealed the tank and wait 48 hours to see if i did it right!!! i should of asked the guy to fill it up with water but it was 12 am when i got there and i trusted him,he was a fish-guy like us i did not think he would of lied ....here is the pictures i took before an after pictures.:irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked:

I buy most of my tanks on craigslist and havent had any problems yet. Its still a good deal on a tank that size though!

I have bought many of my tank on CL and have never had one leak. But I do agree with leak testing them in the garage for a while before bringing them into the house.

It sounds like it didn't start leaking right away, is that right? If so it was unlikely that the guy knew it leaked when he sold it to you.

did you pinpoint the leak before resealing and rule out any plumbing leaks?

tough break
Good Luck

shoulda tested it outside first. my brotha
