Caimen enclosure..

I'd use a different material than plywood, somthing completely water resistant. Other than that looks good to me.
People made plywood aquariums... no different here.
Yep yep, I was just more thinking about using a more durable material to make the enclosure last longer, not necessarily worrying about molding and such.
I'm contemplating how to construct my own...I was thinking of sinking one of those preform plastic ponds into a plywood base, saves having to waterproof everything.
what he is doing is what people did with boats when they were made of wood, they lasted years upon years, they kept the water out and this is keeping the water in, just make sure that you build a solid skeleton to prevent bowing. If you want my opinion, building a frame around a 350 rubbermaid stock tank would be more cost effective than having all the materials for this.

Thanks, But i wanted to also include some big CA/SA cichlids and other big fish which don't really matter if they get chomped one day or not, thats why I wanted it to be so big. I also wanted to make it look as good as possible, and not cheap, but still be cheap..If that makes since...
But as for everything that i stated and included in the sketch..is that ok for the caimen.. or can it be better or what?
