This is what I woke up too this morning:

Damn thing ate the tail and is swimming around, sucking on what's left of the head. I'd've given him some hot sauce, if he asked. I kinda assumed (wrongfully) that with its armor, a crawfish would've been safe. He lasted about a month. Next time I go to a crawfish festival in Louisiana, I think I'll bring Oscar with me!

That O is only 5", didn't think he could eat a three inch crawfish.

I guess its full of good protein, minerals, and fiber. a healthy treat, and only 1.99.

I kinda liked the idea of keeping crawfish to clean up uneaten food particles and such.

Not to jack your thread but, I was feeding my dog hot sauce so he wouldn't go for human food. Now he loves hot sauce. Damn backfire!

But, yeah, Oscars will eat anything including hot sauce!

He's tried to eat a snail a couple times. he always spits it out, but i freak out momentarily when I see that snail shell disappear.

My O would take a 3 of inch gromai like its nothing which is great but an expensive meal

now that you mention that, my apple snails are kind of in a pile, thought maybe they were having a party or something. maybe I should check and make sure its not just a pile of empty shells.
