Calico convict project

That's good tho. I never knew you could get cons like that lol. Maybe when I get a few more calicoes and do that with two females

Yeah this one took me by suprise. There were a few white ones out of the batch but the others had black marble on them. Some have said they have seen HRP's like this but not convicts, so they might have some HRP in them but I have to go to my lfs and see where the parents came from. Check out my thread "Is a white convict with white bars rare?" You can see the "pink" parents in my hands.
 
I had to separate my pair for a few days. The male was getting to aggressive. Their bond must have broken when I moved them out of the 75 to the 40 but with the addition of my wife's Oscar to my 75 I decided to put my female back in the 75 with the male and Oscar. So things are starting to get back to normal. The male is starting to huddle up the little fry left in there and "protect" them

I've must have not been in the hobby that long cause its a first for me. So i guess its pretty rare in deed. I wish my male was like him. On mine they are more bold when he is stressed that's it. Even then it's not as bold bars. Is he the only out the batch? Maybe he's got an albino gene dominant instead of calico

As far as the only one im not sure and im not sure on the sex yet. I lost most of the batch. But it was one that lived. I will know about the percentages from the next spawn... If she even throws anymore like it.

I would try to pair Casper. From the pics and video it looks male but I know calico females can be a little tricky especially when not in breeding dress. If you do get more from the next batch put me down for one.

Oh of coarse I will try and breed him/her. Also you and other mfk members will have dibs before I would try to sell to stores. I'll keep you updated.

I think most members want to exchange so fry with mine so ill send you send to so you can add fresh blood lines.
