Great looking pair and great thread, how large of a tank are they in. I just got a good looking pair of calicos in myself.

Well it should be any day now the female has been trying to coax the male to go with her behind the sponge filter. I want to get some clay pots for them but the only ones I find are plastic

Idk if this pertains to your studies, but my coworker got a striped male and pink female.

Every single baby was striped like the father. No pinks at all, a ton of babies.

It could in the future I plan on cross breeding my pairs fry to black and pink convicts.

All the babies came out striped because the pink gene is reccessive, all those babies will be carrying the pink gene and if you breed the babies together u will make pinks.
 
So the pink gene is recessive to both black and calico genes.
