Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't a california round ray the same ray as a cortez?
Nope, close but not the same. Cali's are lighter in color. They do have different scientific names.

Gotcha. If you are interested in cortezs, let me know I have 32 of them available.

So this acording to this site is a Cortez Ray (Urobatis Maculatus) but the last four I purchased were suposed to be Cortez's but they dont even look anything like each other. I have come to the conclusion that these wholesellers dont even know what they have other than what they are told they have so maybe I do have all Urobatis Halleri's (Cal. Rds) But who knows other than the people out in Cal. that see them all the time while diving. hint hint jabba
