Callamanus: The war begins

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Already did a 50% water change when I got home and seen the white edges on his fins.

As for the worms I don't know if he has them. All I know is two of the female guppies that were in his tank had a worm sticking out of them at separate times. One after it was dead and one after it gave birth to nearly 20 babies.

Is the severum still eating?

Man I hope the fenbendazole works for you. I used it but ended up having to resort to using levamisole hcl to clear my midevil of those dreadful worms. 5ml per 100 gallons for 48 hours, followed by a huge water change. Then repeat after 2 weeks. Worked for me so I thought I'd recommend it to you.

That's always a good sign. Try feeding it some skinned peas in crushed garlic. See if you can get it to eat some of the garlic too. It's and old school remady but it still works. Tomorrow do another 50% water change and give it a shot. Feed just the garlic and peas nothing else.

Yeah levamisol is the last resort. What's the hcl stand for? As of right now I don't know if the tank the Severum is in has any callamanus but it has had it in there.

Well. Two of the male guppies had a piece of red crap sticking out of their vents in the severum's tank. Removed them to the qt.

I grabbed some garlic from the pantry and started cutting it. The indistinguishable burn of the eyes of an onion ensues. Apparently elephant garlic is not actually garlic. :banghead:
I'll have to pick up some normal.

I skinned some peas and threw them in. The severum doesn't care about them. But.....uploadfromtaptalk1370932133362.jpguploadfromtaptalk1370932188647.jpg

Chop the garlic up as small as possibile and let the peas sit in it for about an hour or even longer in the fridge. If you have a food processor even better for the garlic. Crush the peas bewteen your fingers and get the sev really hungry. On the up side you'll have a very healthy pleco. ;)
