Calling all plumbers (advice please)

Thansk Dr, but after thinking long and hard about it and reading some replies I decided to just order a new one.

So I have have a brand new 40w Pentair UV Housing with a broken outlet for sale if anybody is interested. :)

Let us know if it is difficult to reinstall or not.
 
Your break is to close to the base for repair. I would'nt trust any repair made to the U V. This is on the press. side or discharge of the pump. With a 300 gal. tank you probally moving a good amount of gph. I'd hate to run out for the night and come back to an empty tank, dead fish and water damage to my house. I would see if the base could be replaced or buy new. No plumber, but I am a Steamfitter Local 602.
 
Reinstall, nope, never used :)
I'm building my filter room and wet/dry when it happened. It's part my fault for leaving it lay out.

Yup, only money, the boss keeps giving me more. Although that would have made a nice night out on the town with the wife. :)

Thanks dasticks, that's the conclusion I came to yesterday. I ordered a new one yesterday from Big Al's. It's on the non-pressure side but I will still sleep better with a new one.

The new UV was delivered by UPS today. Way faster than anything I've ordered from Petsolutions or Dr. Fosters.
