As far as i know, its a wild caught efasciatus, but he's pretty unique. Has an awful temper on him.
A few months back
Here he is in a holding tank, showing off as usual.
Ive got 3 Heros Inirida coming at the end of the month too.
I've also got a Heros Notatus in the pipe line too.
Had a pair of wild caught White (read "pale grey") Heros severus (wrongly labelled as efasciatus ) but they took a real kicking in the new tank and sadly died. Will try and get back up and get some more if the hyper aggro settles down (seems to have now the geos are in)
Dominant male in the shop (compared to the female in the back ground). As far as i can tell, an undescribed solour morph. Lacking the spots on the gills present in normal severus males.
Turning into a bit of a sev head by the seems of things eh?
Craggy
wow that last one is beautiful!!! im trying to find something a little different for my 125g community as far as sevs go. i have my gold and rot that are going to be breeding so i want a different one in the big tank
Well i'm officially p***ed right off!! My notatus must be soooo far down the line of tank bred because mine have almost no colour compared to the ones in this thread...GGGRRRRRR
Afraid to be the bearer of bad news quitas mate, but as far as i've been made aware, there are VERY few reports of Notatus being tank bred, maybe some sub species of severus. Lets see some pics.
Where did you get your notatus from anyways? I've searched high and low throughout blighty and no one has seen them in years.
Hey craig, i got them from amwell aquatics about 6 months back. And just recently some maidenhead aquatics branches have had them aswell. About £10 each at 1-1.5 inches. I'll post some pics when i get my camera back from my sister but she lives a few miles away so i don't generally go there all that often due to work and whenever she comes here she forgets it.. (on purpose i expect)
Also all sevs can be tank bred so there might well be a chance that they are...
