Their looking like a pair of notatus too... (notice the bold black marks only half way up the body on both fish, the extensive spots on the male)
After consulting some fellow Sev heads here in blighty, it seems that the notatus may infact be a regional variation of efasciatus.
CichlidGuy, have you had any luck breeding your pair? (male and female, incase you didn't already know)
There is certainly alot that needs to be hammered down with the regional variations and species of heros.
Did anyone see CelticSamuris (god rest him) Heros that Jeff Rapps had for sale. Some real stunners that Few people had ever seen before (as usual though, Jeff got the ID down as soon as he saw them ... cocky bugger
