Calling All you Severum Fans.................

They usually eat only dead eggs and i heard that reds are sterile. But each fish has its own personality

I got 3 pairs of this same severum. One pair second batch of eggs got eaten by the parents while the first batch got eaten by others. I thought severum would make good parents and not eat those eggs. In another couple of weeks they will laid again and this time, I will remove the parents and we shall see what happens.

Did you mean you have three breeding pairs of red severums? Those with lots of red spots/stripes on a gold background?

oh wow really hmm? my Big male bred wit ha female green and they ate the eggs also...my reds are still only like 3" or so....

I got three pairs but one of the pair is in my 40 gallon breeder and the other 2 pairs are in the community tank. Both pairs in the community tank are doing the dance. I might take the pair in the 40 gallon and switch them or put them in another 40 breeder.
