Oh dear. I used to be a discus/angelfish hoarder, but now that I've bought my own house and found the space, I've been bitten by the severum bug again.
I currently have:
1 male Heros sp. "super red"
2 male Heros sp. "rotkeil" wild-caught
1 male (?) Heros severus "Atabapo"
1 male Heros sp. gold (are golds a color morph of efasciatus?)
1 male Heros appendiculatus (Does this name even apply anymore to "turquoise severums"?)
1 male Heros notatus wild-caught
1 female Heros sp. (I have no idea what she is; she looks like no other severum I own)
5 juvenile Heros notatus F1
What on earth will I do with 13 severums?
The unknown female unexpectedly paired with my male turquoise and laid eggs a couple days ago. Now they are hiding wigglers in a pleco cave. I'd only had the male for two days when my female took a liking to him and now he's a dad.
I moved my Krobia sp. "Xingu" into the 55 gallon tonight with my five little notatus grow-outs and the notatus decided they didn't like tankmates. LOL. The Krobia certainly held their own, though. I think it'll calm down tomorrow when the notatus get used to the idea of sharing a space.
Sean, Peter, and everybody else seemed to be getting new fish/tanks and I felt left out. Now I have to find another cheap 150 just to house all these guys as they grow.
Pictures of the new additions as they settle in and color up...
