Camel Spider....

By size, they are the 2nd fastest creature on earth, first being the cockroach. Sulifugids are closely related to scorpions. If you look at the pics, you'll see that instead of pincers, they have those 2 big legs they use to shovel whatever they can into those big jaws. They are really fun to keep, and can tackle huge prey. If you have an extra 10g laying around, try setting up a little habitat. They're really easy to keep.

They look easy enough to keep, but I don't have any tanks nor can I get one here. Really fun critters to watch eat.

Did you auto focus or manual focus? Might just be me but the focus looks off.
Your right, the focus is off, I took the shots on AF-C mode at f/2.8, never thought about raising the f/stops to capture the whole body. Next time for sure.

Yeah, next time try adding more light and bump up the aperture and focus manually. Most lenses aren't their sharpest stopped down (or up) all the way anyways.

I'm really getting frustrated with my autofocus. Just got back from a backpacking trip and took my 200mm af-s zoom and half the photos aren't in focus.

I would do manual focus, but, once I close one eye to focus, my shooting eye gets out of focus. That's when the pictures come out blurry. But, Will practice on shooting manually.

As for the light, I was using a table lamp. My SB-900's were placed on back order of a couple weeks. Kinda disappointed about that, but oh-well.

The first one did have a nice yellow on it's back. The tubby one was laid back, but the skinny one was the crazy one. Nice spider non the less.

They're probably different species then. The tubby guy is probably an ambush predator and the skinny one most likely chases down its prey. Both sound like a lot of fun to watch. What's not to love about a tiny animal that knows no fear?

Yeah, I have no idea about spiders/scorpions and such. Not my type a soy sauce. But ruthless guys no doubt about that.

No idea how to sex them. Most larger spiders you cant tell untill they're last year-ish of life. Ill get pics soon as I get batteries! XD
