Can 1 person transport a 100 gallon tank/stand with a dolly?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
me and my g/f moved my 180 gal glass tank, which is 8' long, off of a uhaul and with a dolly....needless to say that i did all the work while she just pretty much helped me guide the dolly...like everybody else said, just depends how strong you are.....

I moved and loaded and unloaded my 100g and stand by myself with only a handtruck. Just use the lean and pivot method. Was actually pretty easy. Im also 5' 11'' and 180 lbs and in really good shape. My boss says that I have super strength though......

To me personally, it seems to all come down to how confident you are with your strength and skill that you could move it... personally speaking, i probably wouldn't risk it since lets be honest, one slip and its all over...

Ive moved 6' 125g tanks by myself.Like you said work one end at a time and take your time. Its much faster and easier with 2 people but you can do it yourself.

I moved my 125 by myself. All went well. The second time I move a 125, the saw horse failed and I ended up with a trashcan full of useless shards of glass. It is possible, but be careful.

Ive got a 90 sitting and theres no way Id try to move it. you dont have a friend or co-worker that likes sandwiches and has a half our free?

yes you can

Id be safe. How would you feel if it slipped, because that could easily happen, and it broke? Id be so mad. I have moved 75,s and 90's solo...4 ft tanks tho you can just be diesel and do it. I asked a buddy to help me move my 6 footer and it took 5 mins. When I was moving the 90 alone I had 3 different ppl offer to help. Id ask anyone to help. Wont take long at all. Good luck
