can 2 male mate ?

There is absolutely NO way these 2 fish at hand can breed together if both fish were to be males. If they are a genuine pair, at least 1 fish has to lay eggs. Sometimes 2 females pair up. Only time will tell.
so...
i guess i will let them for a couple of weeks

L hunter, lots of people like to tell you what sex your fish is, but nothing is 100% certain. I started a thread called "sex the tex one last time" and everyone thought I had males. Later a pair formed and I too thought I had alternative life style fish. Eventually, my "males" layed eggs in their pot. Oh, that pot looks great. So dont be fooled, carpintis females can look just like males. Forget about that dumb dark blotch on the dorsal fin that females are suposed to have. My female still doesn't have one. . . .

but..there gender are mystery..for now
Some female flowerhorn have nuchal humps, but I would bet that its a male. Your carpintis also looks male, but so does my female. thats her below. You never know, so good luck

the fins of the flowerhorn is a little torn becouse of my other flower horn when i try to put them togather to mate so u can't know , but i know
