of course they can, i'm fine with parachromis hybriding, as long as it stays between those 5, mota's, jag's,freddies,loiselli,dovii. when someone mixes a different cichlid with them it pisses me off

Where do you guys get dividers? I've never looked for them before in petstores or anyplace else. I'm sure I could make one out of plexi glass if I had to.

for this go to home depot or some hard ware store and use egg grate.....

Hey, to the original poster, just to touch base on the sexes of the two fish again. The Jag is the Male, you can tell by the pattern and blue/purple sheen, the Mota is female, due to the markings and very bright coloring.

But, these would be very nice. I'd take a few off your hands if and when they breed.

Yeah i would of thought that too but its much to dark to be a female isnt it. And with the chunky black dots on it it looks male. But yeah fins dont look right.
