Unless you can find larger Dats they will not keep up with the growth rate of the Arrow. The Arrow may end up eating them. Look into some Pike, maybe a better choice than the PB in a 125.

hes going to sell it anyways
Good luck with that.
Everybody wants one (including me) but only a select few can properly house one (doesn't include me). There are a select few here who have them and they are properly housed. IMHO if a fish is as long or longer than your aquarium's width then it needs a bigger home. A pima wouldn't take long to outgrow the width of a 125. To keep one for the sake of saying you've kept one is asinine.:screwy:

I find it hard to believe that you get rid of fish afer they reach eight inches... even your silver arowana would only be with you for a month before you got rid of it.

I think the aro would eventually kill the Pima unless the Pima is much bigger

ive seen them as small as about 8 inch, i figured i can keep one for a little before it grows, but it was just a thought, are you going to answer my question or keep beating around the bush? lol

I just don't get why you would want to buy a fish that frankly needs a large swimming pool...:screwy:

thank you for understanding! lol

i know what im doing with my fish haha, my fish are all very happy for the time that i have them, i just cant afford a huuummmoooonnnngggooooo tank right now you know haha

my dream tank is 750 gallons though!

Even 750 G wouldn't house a Pima for life I'm afraid...Who the heck are you gonna sell this fish too? It sounds mental to me...wake up! In a month it'll get some explosive growth and it won't be able to turn round in a few...It would be worse than someone buying a RTC for a 30 Gal tank saying on i'll keep it a few months and sell it. It's frankly insane.

Also I would love to know which shop sells these to members of the public...talk about irresponsible. I hope it's special order only.

Aros and arapaima can be housed together. I don't know how difficult it is to do so, but I've seen it done successfully before.

Think bigger homes! My dream tank is 750,000 gallons lol!

Will a Pima go with an Arowana yes....Honestly though don't get a Pima as the grave irresponsibility of only keeping a fish that YOU KNOW will get too big and burdening another hobbyist with a potentially 6ft+ fish is as said asinine....Only get fish you know you can fit in your tank or fish that you are willing to buy/build a bigger home for them I can't tell you how sad it is to see RTC and Pacu in 50gal tanks on craigs with water browner than beef stock, that no one buys because once they google they turn away:banhim:

yea man there are certain fish you can grow up and find a new home. Then there are certain fish that need a good responsible owner that knows what they are doing and can dedicate alteast 2/3 of housing for their lifespan. Who would buy a pima from you? You only have a 125 and sound decently new to the hobby. Why would they trust buying a fish that needs a 50k tank from a person that has a 125 that wanted to keep it for 2 weeks?

You would basically be dooming a fish for life. Your arowana is cutting it as well. Do yourself a favor and quit buying fish an save cash for a larger tank. That way you can stop stamp collecting. Then start fish keeping.
