I'm going with "I don't know for sure"..... It is either a Florida, spotted or Shortnosed however which is just not IMO easy to determine from the photos.. This fish is showing multiple traits of all of these fish. I am leaning toward Florida or spotted more so than before, but I'm not calling it any particular one at this point. Lepisosteus sp. fits.....

What exactly makes you think it might be a shortnose???

could it be a possible hybrid?

at first glance i think it looks to be florida/spotted...although i have no firsthand experience w/ shortnoses. so iding one for me is very difficult.
