uaurs will be fine. sals (cichlasoma salvini) are absolutely gorgeous!!!! i just got a female. sooooo pretty! i would compare a sals. yellow to a festaes red, meaning i think its as bright as the festae. but yellow not red obviously.
can anyone reccomend?

i propose to definately getting:
a sengal or dehlizi bichir
a rainbow snakehead
and a 2-spot pike
and either a severum, salvini or uaru depending on the oucome of this thread.
i love all of these fish so if there s a good combo people can think of then by all means suggest it.

Severums and Uaru's are big peaceful fish.
Salvini's are big aggressive (usually) fish but varies from fish to fish.
Personally, I think if you're getting a sub 4 foot tank, you're way overstocked already. I'd take jasonmac978's advice and stick with the smaller/mid sized (6-8") Cichlids like Firemouth, Blue Acara, Convicts, which Severum's will do well with. Depending on what you want to stock, you can also probably fit a Salvini in there which are great looking fish.
Or you might be able to fit a single Oscar in there if you're after something "aggressive" and responsive.

Uaru are not a good choice for this tank
they need to be kept in at least pairs and i don't think you have room for 2

for me its between the sal and the severum.

lol see im torn sometimes i think sal, sometimes i think severum lol. id probably get the golden one. i want one that s very owner responsive and has lots of character, ehich one would be better?
