Can anyone sex this GT?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wow mumtron!dont be bitter because you cant see the obvious sex of the fish!!! Ive seen some low quality male GT's before but they still had male attributes........Ive been keeping Green Terrors for many years and I think you need to find a whole new technique at sexing Green Terror's... it was a female...and quicksilver he was probaly attacking her because he was trying to mate but she wasnt ready, cause you know that does sometimes happen between a Female and Male before breeding takes place....

You can't sex Gt's by facial markings, head shape, or fins. Ive seen females that had humps and males that had round fins. The most common way is to tell by their color. Females are always dark and when they're stressed theyre almost black....

so funny!:ROFL:watch this video! there is two females and one male in this tank! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFdis09fkwk

look at the first female, the one with the eggs. That female looks like she could be a male. Colors just gives a small clue as to what a fish sex could be....

These are pics of my female for reference; she's getting close to 5.5" now:
