Can/Do you house your fish for life???

I have absolutely no problem in rehoming fish as I have no problem in keeping fish for more than 10 years.

But in no way will I assume that a fish is for life. A fish stays as long as I like it, feel atracted to keeping it, or am able, size wise, to give it good husbandry.

uhhh I don't actually give them away to anyone haha I believe i give people who take care of them either i sell them or they sell them. If pond fish like koi I would probably just throw it in the river, park pond, and stream etc anywhere they feel free off. This is my best explanation because Fish is a hobby it does not connect DOES NOT CONNECT to our life. For those people who is religious. i will always keep my gar, Geos, Dats,and Peacocks till they die. All of them are really cool to watch and look great in a tank. but i agree im on both sides of the fence also, If i have a fish i am not to interested in or it gets to big i will either try to sell on this forum or to the LFS for a trade. But as of now i really like the sets of fish i have and i just need a new filter and i should be able to have a nice collection of fish.

I wouldnt buy a fish, or any animal, knowing I couldnt keep it for life. Just seems irresponsible to me.

All the fish I buy I'm very interested in as I research their habits and peculiarities well ahead of time.

I keep my fish for life because I only keep harder to get fish . Right now I have a large pair of L-114 plecos in with a school of thin -barred red hook silver dollars. Not impossible to find but difficult because my fish are all adults.
