Can I feed my fish this dog food?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The ingredients actually look a lot better than the kens fish cichlid formula I've been using considering there are no wheat or soy bean fillers... I'll continue to try small amounts. If our fish can eat things like hot dogs and cheap pond food I'm sure this stuff is fine. We will see.

Kens pond fish food runs 5lbs for $13.00 but a lot terrestial based foods but does have some spirulena in there

The kens pond food is for Koi and first ingredient is wheat meal. I use the premium cichlid formula bit even that contains wheat and soy meal

The fat content is to high for tropical fish. Too high a fat content is not healthy RD explained it to me when I asked him if we could feed trout pellet to our tropicals.

I almost paged @rd earlier, considering he's such a wealth of knowledge about nutrition; just haven't seen him around in a while

I was gonna say that I'm sure rd has addressed this before and have a few different reasons that it was a bad idea.
