Is it possible to have 2 silver arows in the same tank, i have one thats about 6-7 inches and the other will be about the same, i will move my silver in to my 115g (hes in my 60g)once i get the new one so they are both introduced at the same time.
will this work??
thanks

Not sure, I have 1 jardini at 13 inches and a silve arowana at 8 inches. both in different tanks so my lfs told me i should gert 2 more arowanas if going to all of them together into my bigger tank.

get a bigger tank

delgado wot size tank is ur silver in?

It might work, it might not work.....only way to find out is to try it. It didnt work for me.

And you will need a bigger tank even for 1 aro, which I'm sure you're aware of.

I know i need a bigger tank, but it was just a thought if i can get 2 of them to live togeter why buy a 180g for one and then up grade so i can have two, why not just get a 300g for both of them.

To me i think that it might work, knowing that you will be adding them at the same time will be a plus and you also have other fishes in the same tank will somehow keep the aggression away. And plus silvers are not known to be as aggressive as other aros.
But Also after introducing into them in the tank, you should monitor them for a long time.

I don't understand why people buy silver arowanas these days. Do you realize that they get 4 ft. long and even a 400 gallon would be too small at that point. For the guy keeping the 28" Silver in a 180 (WOW) thats just ridiculous. Unless you have a pond please be respectful to the fish and dont buy a silver or black arowana. Instead you will have to spend alot more money but get a Jardini or asian arowana they rarely exceed 24"......Stop buying 4ft. fish for your home aquariums..............

listen to what your saying

your saying silvers can be up to 4ft long

when they rarely exceed 3ft in the aquarium

and you want us to go with asians and jars because they rarely exceed 2ft?

when they can actually reach up to 3ft instead of 2?

cmon guy........
