Can i have 2 arows in........

True, but a grow-out tank for cichlids only requires in most cases a 300-500 dollar tank for 1 fish so most people can and will be able to afford the future tank upgrade. But a silver arowana, your talkin at least 1500 for the tank alone and after filtration and a stand and everything else a proper silver arowana tank would set you back at least 3000 and thats alot of money to drop on a tank for most people. Also i've never bought a fish that i didn't have a big enough tank for to hold it long-term. It was tank first for me too...

Yeah it's a new movement. LOL

Let's see so far we have Central Mayhem ate his Midas, My friend ate my 2 Giant Gouramis and 2 Cichla Ocelaris. Darkemotion said he cooked his silver arow that jumped out his tank. Pretty tasty he says. Oddball ate his pet paddlefish.

I mean why not. Can you imagine. Having a 6 ft. Arapaima in a tank. Just call ur friends over and have a BBQ! :naughty:

Fish Gallery? Yeah Arapaimas are cool. I want to get one myself. And when my friends come over they will always ask me..."So when's this one ready to be eaten?" :screwy:
 
Just my two cents.

I once tried the 2 silver idea. When the fish were fry just loseing their yolk sacs. I was feeding them live brine and baby crickets. Everything seemed well and I was very happy. Till one day I came home from work to find one's tail sticking out of the others mouth. I quess they were ready for some larger food .

Anyways just thought I would share

Yes you can mix 2 Silver Arowanas together most of the time Silvers are OK to mix., but of course there are exceptions. Some are just psycho.

As for the 115G. I am guessing that is a 18"W tank. I is a good grow out tank but it will not hold a silver arowana for long. Minimum tank size IMO that houses arowanas is a 180G (6'x2'x2'). The 2' wide is very important. Not saying this is the best but looking at the average sized arowana in a hobbyist tank this size tank would be the best fit. IMO the 180G (6'x2'x2') is the best bang for buck tank.

My tank is 20 inches wide not 18, and i have acctually got a friend that wants my arow once he is two big for me, he has a 6ftx 30inches x 30 inches (290gals) so there my friend JACKOSCAR. thanks for the help guys and a good argument always helps lol. :D
 
Argggh are you ever happy?? its better than Dels 180g for his 28inch silver, but even then she must be happy as she is eating and even laying her eggs in there.
