well, I think you are asking for too much....if he did that this thread wouldn't exist.
If i did that which i did this thread would exist. You can obviously read it says that retic rays can be in a minimum 75gal tank pal. This site is so unfriendly compared to piranha-fury.

I have already explained why it says 75 gallons.

NO. Retic rays can reach 12 inches. The sticky says 75 gallons because SMALL rays can be kept in a 75. But not for a year. I mentioned that you cannot identify rays because certain species grow faster than others and therefore would need a larger tank sooner. Just don't get a ray. At all.

I would disagree here.... I have a female retic that is over 14 inch disk then add tail and you have a very big ray. She is only 3. I got her at 4 inches and she was nearing 10 by the end of my first year with her. I thought it was unfair for me to have her in a 125 and upgraded to my now current 500 gallon. I am sorry you have found this forum to be unfriendly, I don't think they have been unfriendly honestly it is just frustrating for somebody to be ignoring the great advice that they are giving after they asked in the first place. When something says a "minimum" that means the least ideal situation you could be in. Would you like to live in the "minimum" square footage that a human needs? Because I believe it is something like 6x8 as in a prison cell. So I say if you are ok with putting a ray in a 75....any ray even a retic you should have to place yourself in a 6x8 cell first then if you still think that that is fair go right on ahead and get yourself a ray. I believe all of us on here in the ray forum love our animals more than alot of other people with their fish. I mean a ray isn't like a piranha and maybe I am biased so be it. Maybe you should stick with your piranha's and your piranha forum if we are all so "unfriendly"

So what do you disagree with? You basically just reaffirmed everything I just said. Did you think I was the OP?

Yes I may have been a bit rude and I apologize. I'm a little stressed today so my patience has worn thin.

The only thing I dasagreed with was you saying that a retic gets to 12 inches They can and will under the right conditions get even bigger than that. So I wasn't disagreaing in a bad way. If that makes sense. I agree with everything else but some people think retics are a small ray and can be in small quarters when really they can get much bigger than scobina's or Hystrix they just usually don't because they are a cheap ray and idiots will go into an LFS see one for $50 in a 30 gallon tank and think ooooo I can put that in my 75 and it will be a happy little dude. Next thing you know we have said idiot on this board wanting to know why his ray is dying when it's in a 75.....
