can i have pirahnas

Ive owned reds and from my and others I've read about experiances 15 gallons per adult red in minimum but aggression might plauge you, 25 g per red should allow them enough space not to be as tempramental twords each other, and let you enjoy them with less worry. Also they REALLY like to feel they have cover, I highly suggest a lot of plants plants real or fake. Pirahnas are nervous fish and what scares them they ushally try to kill and eat. The more comfratable the better theyll live together. Good luck.

I HAVE ONE 4 FT TUBE IS THIS ENOUGH LIGHT OR I COULD ADD A SECOND

piranhas actually like their enviroment to be more on the dark side...so one 4' light should be fine.

I read through about an hour and a half of threads on Pfury and saw 0 pics.....I am itching to see this behemoth of an RBP.....

I actually dont use any light at all in my tank. Room lights are enough. They are very skittish if there is too much light and it hurts their eyes. I would get a few p's from the pygo species maybe a mix.

Yes I have tried lights in the past but they just freak them out. If you put in your time and stuff lights will work but I just find it much easier on me and the fish to not use any lights except the room lights. Plus it saves on electricity and much less algae in your tank!

one tube should be fine, the only reason you would need anything more than that is if you wanna do a planted tank... but that's a whole new game. they may be a little skittish at first, but they always get used to the light in time.
