Can I have rays in my tank?

now I am stuck in a rut I love my oscars and rays are so cool.

I disagree with the fx5 suggestion..the sand is going to mess the impeller up. Then what you've got is a noisy fx5.

thats BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tons of people including myself use the FX 5 with sand with out having any problems!!! i just raised the intake and i use heavy sand.

Well I feel they will get along fine. To make things easier on yourself I would just do the rays. Breeding would be awesome as well.

I am still not sure what to do. I have this conflict on my mind. Oscars killing the rays, rays killing the silver arowana, to much bio load... I want the rays but I am not sure what to do...

True, but if sand gets in that thing you WILL have a noisy FX5. I tend to disagree with Nic for debating purposes....lol
