i wudnt do it... p bass eat very aggressively... meaning the polys wud not get much food unless you feed large amounts which will affect ur water quality... so if u got time for the water changes then go ahead..

Is it the poly endlicheri endlicheri, or the poly endlicheri congicus? Or does it not matter since they both can max out over 30"
you can't go with the max recorded size. P. endlicheri endlicheri will most likely reach a realistic max size of under 24" in the aquarium, although supposedly they can reach close to 30" in the wild. P. endlicheri congicus has a larger max recorded size. in the aquarium, i'd say realistically under 30".
this will take a good number of years, so don't expect this in like two years or something. and it'll also depend on other factors whether a particular bichir would ever get that big (e.g. some bichirs are naturally more greedy eater than others, and obviously they'd have the best growth).
having said that, i think either would be fine as long as sizes are compatible. and make sure the bichir gets enough to eat.

I have an email out to rehoboth aquatics. He said he doesn't have congicus, but does have endlicheri. I am just waiting on a reply about the size of the endlicheri. If things don't look kosher between the PBass and the poly, as the PBass get bigger, then I will move the poly to another tank for further growing.

many of the lower jaws can get real big.
ive had an endli grow 2 inches per month til he hit about 6 inches!
