That should be a jail able effence i think friggin cruel so to answere you'r quistion no no no no no no. you said for life so i say no no no no no no beyond cruel. I was thinking about trying to put a couple in my 240 and two me that's even cruell that's why i'm going to be putting just a single jardini in it no way should you put a black or silver or even a jar in that tank for life it's cruell cruel cruel cruel it's a aquivelent of putting you in a jail cell that is only 9 feet long by 3 feet wide by 6 feet high not the demensions of a real jail cell but would be a equilent if you were 6 feet tall and made you lay on the floor and swim around and left you in there for life cruel i tell you just cruel ow and by the way did i say it's cruelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

I got him from a listing on craigslist not my buddy, but a complete stranger.

It was actually a 90 gallon tank, but what's the difference.

If you like you can reveiw my original post on this adoption; http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70488

Ya know it's ok to stop and take a breath(end a sentence with a period) once and a while.

Oh and after 2 months with swimming room he has straightened out a little, this pic is from today.

WHOA! Bderick, that is sooo awesome. Glad he straightened out, although he did look kinda cool with a hunch back.

Very cool, I remember your original pix of him, he is straightening out...hopefully that will continue. I'd have guessed he'd stay that way, awesome that he's getting better.

Can you? Yes. Should you? no.

It will outgrow the tank, and when it gets cramped and spooked it will probably end up on the floor. Blacks do generally grow more slowly than silvers, so a tank of that size will hold one for a couple of years (most), but you'll need to upgrade.

what he said ;)

I raised a black aro from 6" to 2' in a 5'x2'x2' in 2 years, so unless you get a tiny one it'll be running out of turning space in less than 18 months [at a guess].

Biggest mistake I made was selling that fish instead of getting a bigger tank.:(
