can i keep an arrowana (with PICS!!!)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If I were you I would get a large piece of driftwood to block the edge/corner that's only 27 inches, but other then that, I bet it's more then enough. However I notice you have an interesting stock, CA/SA cichlids, knife fish, and arfrican cichlids and who knows what else. Anyways, while not being a fan of mixing old and new world cichlids, if it works for you, then so be it. But some of those cichlids seem pretty small and a full grown arrowana may take them out, so be warned.

ya i understand but i figur if the knives havent gotten them i dont think the aro will,

i think we have a misunderstanding, the main part of the tank (what u look at in the FTS) is only 27inches wid ?

Size is fine, 27" is a bit narrow as 30" is recommended minimum for adult aro. The tight corner may become a problem if the aro becomes spooked and trys to escape into that corner. Most likley the aro would stary cleat of that corner though.

Yeah u could even have 4 arowanas in there for life I had 6 in a 560 gallon and had tons of space and and had clown knives and other fish

You had 6 arowana, yet you recently made a thread saying you were new to monster fish :duh:

Just wanna say it's nice to see somebody asking this question where the answer is actually "Yes, go ahead."

Also, your tank rocks. You should make sure that arow is nice and big before putting him in it!
