I'm wanting to put 5 platys, 6 neon tetras, 5 zebra Danios, 1 dwarf gourami, and 3 Cory catfish in a 30 gallon aquarium?

I'm getting back into the fishkeeping hobby and I just want to refresh and make sure that this would be ok.

If not then does anyone have any stocking suggestions? (I know that I definitely want some platys and one gourami)

These are all pretty sociable fish that you named there. They would probably fare better if you sticked with more of the same species rather than a few of each specie. 10-12 danios or neons with 8-10 cories would be better imo

That's what I was thinking. Although I definitely want at least one gourami in the tank, and I really love the look of platy fish. But it would probably be better to do more of the same species
