can jack dempsey live with jaguar??

you have better luck with a female jag and a male JD,IMHO, with a male jag I think just a mauling waiting to happen.

Unfortunately the best answer is maybe. You will hear success stories and horror stories, not just with Jag, JD combinations either. Given a big enough tank your chances of success increase considerably. JD’s for the most part are not overly aggressive so if you have a tolerant Jag they could live together. The best advice would be plan for the worst and hope for the best, no one can say yes it will work or no it wouldn’t work. It depends on the disposition of the individual fish in question. Good luck with them.
+1. There's not one definitive answer with some combinations, just individual experiences.

Also, and this is important and often overlooked, behavior of a juvenile or sub-adult doesn't predict behavior as an adult or older fish. Don't get a false sense of security if they get along at 3,4...6 inches, etc. Means nothing about what they might do later on.

I don't know about all this "they'll be fine" in a 100 Gallon tank. I've removed Jags from much bigger tanks. jags are relentless, single minded, and completely forget all about the last beating they got for acting up. An hour later, they forget they got beat and go right back to thinking they're the Alpha.

JDs I've seen are tough but lazy.

Hope it works out for you.

Really depends on gender of both, however the chances are slim to none of it working out. A male is going to outgrow the jd very quick then the jd is one bad day away from being descaled and a female jag will probably do the same especially in that size tank.

Parachromis are designed to eat other fish so all bets are off with about anything.
