If you raise them together and ensure the bush fish is already too large to fit in the bichirs' mouths, the combination can work. I'd avoid adding small bush fish to an established large bichir tank.

The main thing is to avoid mixing small Festivums with large established bichirs. Once the Festivums are adult size, they're generally too large and too tall-bodied to be considered food.

Other than the size of the bush make sure the bichirs are getting food Bush fish have large mouths and will get to food fast.

i have sinking pellets and im gna spread it around the tank. im thinking since they hunt by smell theyll find the ones the bush fish dont bother getting
