Once they go in the cool fridge they turn white and die within the first few days. They're a lot easier to see against the mass of worms like this. I threw a bunch of worms in with my bichir crew and they went nuts. This was before i refrigerated the worms when they first arrived. I saw the leech in the bichir tank after I put the worms in. The rest of them I noticed in the pan with the worms the next day because they had changed color (white). My Teug ate the leech with a mouth full of worms, seems just fine. I'm not too worried about he bichirs, their wicked tough fish. The rays however, i coddle and treat like babies. I don't know if I'm partial to them or it's just their value that makes me so attentive.
