Can Senegal Bichirs live in Brackish water?

They're not vulnerable (a grown man can't even swallow one). What cichlids are in there?

Well for now we have 1 peacock 6in-

1 yellow lab 4.5in-

2 juvenile strawberry peacock cichlids both are 1.5in-

1 female o.b peacock 4.5in-
1 juvenile o.b mbuna 2in-
1 juvenile male o.b peacock 1.5in
2 juvenile giraffe cichlids both are 1inch.
And a jewel cichlid my fiance picked out he's about 4inches.

We're planning on rehoming the older ones soon.

They're upper jaws but it is 2019 so let's say they are jaw fluid

This would be the better tank for your sen. But I have seen the results of a poly in with very aggressive african cichlids and it had no eyes so....

Well since my sen likely won't be able to be housed with the Oscar he'll go in the Cichlid setup.
Seeing as how we have 3 Cory cats in there and they don't get beaten up I wondered how much bigger the Bichir should get before introducing him? He's about 2.5 inches atm.

Now would be fine. That way your sen doesnt get large enough to possibly view the cichlids as a food source and constantly hunt them. Not saying that wont happen but it seems if they are introduced at a smaller size earlier in development it seems to be safer. But that is not 100% so it'll still be a risk. I agree get the cories out as they may or may not get targeted and if your sen manages to get one in his mouth then you are most likely going to loose both. I have synodontis in with mine couple mid sized ones multis, flav, valentini, golden(this one got huge fast) they just need to be at least as wide as the polys head and you should be ok.

Idk... They're pretty laxed for Africans tbh, I re-homed the bullies of the tank a month ago. for whatever reason they aren't aggressive.

Alright that makes sense. As of now the cories would be impossible to be eaten by the Bichir so that isn't a worry atm.. but as of worries he should be able to reach the top of the 75 for air right? I usually keep my tanks water level 3inches from the top as I like the waterfall effect lol

I placed the Sen in with the cichlids.
The only thing they did was go and start checking out the new guy lol no nips or nibbles.

It would be very dangerous for the senegalus to eat the cories. It could quite possibly kill him.
