Can someone please tell me if it is worth my time.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was really getting annoyed at how the fish was so pale even when I gave it so much love and attention. It was literally over night that he decided to color up....well i'll inform you of any more significant changes as time goes by.

oh by the way the crays dont bother my fish its the reverse and its ok cause they are meant to be weekly delights for my bigger fish heheh...

Dont know if my fish is a He/She at this point but i am loving it now hahah all it took was that little to make me a happy flowerhorn owner...its at 2 inches now cant wait for 4 inches...

i know i already replied here, but i do agree he will not be a high grade by any means, but id keep him anyway, like i said, if you dnt care if he isnt great then keep him, if you want an MP dont.

Yea i dont think it will ever be A or B grade ...MP would just make me Laugh out loud by even the mentioning of it...

i just want to see color on body and fins, with a healthy thick body shape , and for the little black pearls it does have I would perfer it to be dark black, and with a medium sized kok that isnt completely hard.....

All of those things are coming out ..it is now currently 2 inches and in the last 2-3 days alot of these characteristics are already present in my eyes.. Even the kok is slightly bigger could be what I am feeding though ..and its not even hormones or chingmix if you were wondering

This fish is coming out great however and i am not sweating it any more..

Thank to all that provided both positive and negative inputs..I really like hearing what people like to say and look at the kinds of fish that they might like....nice to see variation in taste or it would be dull anyways..

hehhe i am actually so happy right now with this fish that i am going tomorrow to get a tank for him...the fish is a very active swimmer up and down, exploring gravel, digging, great personality, and fearless at his size.. ...

I am clumsy and make unintended bangs and he doesnt even go to hid but comes to look at me ...

For those that want to see progress ill keep posting till you guys get extremely tired or feel like you know so much about him more than your own hehehhehahah:ROFL:

Thanks...

my fish is starting to develop this line right underneath the top fins and a distinct little bump right before the top fins and head begins....also when i look at it from the front it has this small indent looks like a dimple ..however the head isnt noticably bigger and those things i talked about is hard to tell from a picture but....I dont know if that means its a male.

AHHH, EVIL MAN! lol.
keep it, in time it will be gorgeous!
if not il have it!

Yea i know ..I was just going through this phase where i was freaking out about low grade FH and how i have a magnet for them..however this guy I have now is enough to keep me happy. I have been feeding it live waxworms , live mealworms, live bloodworms, alife pellets, sanyu- aweek pellets , ocean nutrition for cichlids flake, HBH cichlid attack, frozen (krill, shrimp, beefheart, bloodworms), freeze dry krill and freeze dry shrimp....gonna go get some super red today too and hakari gold...

for the meal worms i soak the pellets in fish oil then feed my meal worms after they turn red from the pellets you cna tell by shining light on them. I feed it to my fish and he gets even omega fish fatty acids 3s lol (same fats that are in chingmix and sumo)

As for nurition and minerals i actually have some vitamin water thing i put in each day for the 5-10% water change ..so if they guy doesnt get a hump it will atleast look great from living a great life of having a buffet each day!!! However i dont over feed i do it in small portions and many times durign the day..when i am home..more on weekends though..

SO I decided to move the guy into a 20 long gallon while i find myself a new 55 gallon or something used that is the same price. Its currently about 3 inches from mouth to tail of fin.

There are only two mentionable differences since i got him..a little pointy thing before the end of his forehead and beginning of his top fins begin is present..Second, there is a this line that runs down bi laterally on each side right below its top fins like on the body that curves along the body acting like a boarder. For some reason these two characteristics arent really apparent on camera..maybe as it ages i could catch it more heheh..

Hope you guys enjoy the pictures..my next update will be this week end to see how its growing since its still pretty much a baby..
