Oh if you guys are wondering this is my formula for success.. live meal worms (feed it freeze dry shrimp, mysis, krill, bloodworms, etc ..all in different containers though..like 1st container are meal worms only feed freeze dry shrimp 2nd freeze dry mysis blah blah etc..oh and all freeze dried stuff are first soaked in omega fatty acid 3s that i get from the pharmacy..)
Once meal worms are nice and blump i feed them to my flowerhorn you can see that they are through flashlight shined on them..
Live waxworms (only feed it veggy, carrots and even throw in some seaweed hahah but its great for chlorophyll stuff ) Sometimes it will eat it sometimes it wont wateverz..
The treats are all frozen stuff like beefheart, blood worms, krill, ect..this i feed very rarely like once in a blue moon...
the picture tells the rest heheh
as time passes ill find something new to feed as pellet maybe give NLS , Grand sumo, or ching mix a try later on dont know if its worth it though..
Oh one very nub thing i had done is no back ground and no colorful gravel so that would definitely help however i feel like a good T8 and T5 plant light will activate the pigments in the fish skin like human tanning..heheh ..
I think the best thing to do is to get plants for helping with water quality ..i currently change water like daily 4-10% now just to give it the best possible quality cant do too much at a time because of the bacteria colonies.. that help you break down the ammonia and nirates .
However once you have these things down i dont think you can make even the uglies fish look bad...it might not be MP but it will be beautiful..dont know if you agree but thats my experience..
