Say i changed the water 30-50% every morning would that be bad?

Daily water changes are an overkill in a BIG way. Why do it? I actually recently got into a minor, related debate with a LFS employee about doing water changes at 50-60%. He felt that was too much water and that it would either shock fish or ceate a major bacteria bloom.
