can turtles and fish be kept together?

I keep fish with mud and musk turtles in a large stock tank and I haven't had a single loss. Of course they're well fed and most of the fish are fast (minus the pleco).

It's possible, but your friend still shouldn't put a turtle in that tank. Mixing should be attempted only by people who are familiar with turtles, their needs, and their temperaments. If he really wants a turtle he should set up a separate tank for it.

I keep an adult logger head turtle in my fully stock 300 gallon and it seem to be fine. I had hm in there for over half a year with no losses or any fin bite. It's all depend on the turtle i guess.

mata mata's are the only turtle i would put with fish because they have to swallow prey whole so if a fish is too big, it is left alone.

I got a musk in mine with various all aggressive fish.Hes always okay and no fish mess with it.

I would say no as a general rule, but it can be done successfully...personally I wouldn't try it with any fish that is not expendable

two painteds with a bunch of stuff from fire eel to gar to paratilapia etc

i got some 2 baby red ear slider with some koi fish, its possible not impossible
The key thing there is it is they're babies not adults. Wait until they become adults and you will probably have chunks missing from your koi. I would deffinately keep an eye on them.
