idk this thread was aimed at the overall site I just personally find it annoying to see so many ridiculous posts but I guess its a part of online forums.

Being ridiculous isn't enough, that's almost constantly everywhere ;-)
Here's what the report buttons' parameters are:
"Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts."

basically it's for violating the Forum TOS.
