Those sun cats are really cute... I'm picking up a tiger shovel nose Thursday maybe ill find a sun cat fo my other tank! What's there Max size?

Sun cat max size?! Nobody can agree! Some get 8" while others get over 12". Either they are from different collection locales or bloodlines. The world record, according to planetcatfish, http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=159 is 17.7".
Meh that isn't to big. He would be happy in a 55 his entire life. My redtail on the other hand wouldn't lol
I beg to differ. I kept 6 12i nch channel cats in a 30 gallon. They were all very happy and were not stunted and had no Heath problems . Power outage ended up killing them
There is no way that they were healthy in a tank that size

LOLAt the time I was new to fish (about 10years ago) I bought them. Put them in a 10 gallon then a 20 long. The 20 llong busted and I got a 30. There was also a 12 inch upside down cat in it. Wasn't to worried about them. I even fed them massive amounts of goldfish and shrimp pellets. My biggest one was around 13 and the smallest around 8. They lived in a 45 gallon bucket for a while to while to. Some of the hardest fish I have ever seen. Even when the tank busted they had about a inch of water a long time. But that's the past I have 2 channel cats in a 20 long for now. There about 3 inches. Once there bigger I'm gonna see if they will live with my shovel nose and my redtail if not they'll be feeders 
Not to be rude, but not really sure what to think of the methods you use keep your fish?
But i guess, seen as they are your fish your will keep them any way you want... although i'm going to say it does sound pretty cramped in that tank...

How is a 20 long cramped with 2 3 inch fish? Lol my redtail tank is 345 gallons. And he's 5 inches.
