What about breeding?

That should work out fine. right now i have a 60 gallon tank mixed with:

red ear slider
map turtle
green terror
giant danio
compressiceps
polypterus
mono sabae
marble wolf goby
alligator pleco

They all get along fine and have been for the last two years.

Just because it has Worked for you does not mean it is good advice to give. The Ph requirements of the fish you have listed is very wide, you have acidic and alkaline fish in one habitat. To me that is not fair to the fish, but hey, what do I know? :)

okay no need to start throwin' bones. So what about breeding? Obviously not crossbreeding breeding something from Lake Malawi with something from Lake Tangyanika, but will anything breed with the pH/hardness levels required to suit fish from different lakes?

There is a bit more to it than that, but Ph, Hardness, Temp are very important, some fish will not breed if the ratios are not correct. In some species if you have to many males, they will interfere with the breeding process. Other fish will breed but then swallow the eggs.

Maybe you can post a list of what you'd like to try and then people can help critique it for you.

this should definitely not be recommended to anyone as a good stocklist...there is no reason for turtles to be in that mix at all...also considering not just how they will eat the fish, but the fact that turtles will require land area and proper basking/lighting
