good day sirs! i got a question.. i bought melafix the small bottle one.. it says 1 teaspoon equals to 10 gallons.. so how many cups of the bottle of the melafix should i put in a 75gals.. by the way my black arowana is recovering but i think it's slow so i decided to buy meafix to boost his recovery.. any suggestions about the dose? thanks!

For 75 gallon tank, likely 70g of water volume, you would use 7 teaspoons of melafix.

so i will do 7 teaspoon of melafix in 7 days until it recovers his fins?

Why? Is that what the directions say?

Myself I only use melafix with open wounds and when I do I still do daily water changes. Seems unhealthy for a injured/sick fish to sit in seven days worth of filthy water.

oh i see.. thank you very much sir..

i agree with bedrick, my aro got beat up bad due to my fault and i grabbed sum of that melafix stuff and the directions say to take out any filter media and use for 7 days. That seems extreme. So i did it for 3 days and did a 30% WC and then did another 3 days and he ended up healing up pretty good.
